Come As You Are
$18.00
An essential exploration of why and how sexuality works—based on groundbreaking research and brain science—that will radically transform your sex life into one filled with confidence and joy.
Researchers have spent the last decade trying to develop a “pink pill” to function like Viagra does. So where is it? Well, for reasons this book makes crystal clear, that pill will never exist—but as a result of the research that’s gone into it, scientists in the last few years have learned more about how sexuality works than we ever thought possible, and Come as You Are explains it all.
Cutting-edge research across multiple disciplines tells us that the most important factor in creating and sustaining a fulfilling sex life, is not what you do in bed or how you do it, but how you feel about it. Which means that stress, mood, trust, and body image are not peripheral factors in sexual wellbeing for some; they are central to it. Once you understand these factors, and how to influence them, you can create for yourself better sex and more profound pleasure than you ever thought possible.

This book made me feel normal in so many ways, expanded my mind and helped me accept myself so much!
Literally one of the best books i’ve ever read. I read it before I ever had any sexual partners and I think it really put me in a good place of knowing and understanding me, my desire, and my body before ever sharing that with anyone else.
A book i wish everybody would read - even penis owner or people who don't struggle with any part of their sex life. It's what Sex Ed should be in schools. Talk about a bit of the body parts in the first chapter but than it's basically all the psychology behind sex and how to understand and work with your brain.
It's more adressed for women but sincerely i think men probably have almost the same ways of functionning.
Really sex life changing read.
I encourage anyone interested in understanding their body and mind to read this.
This book has changed so many woman's life's.
Understating sexuality and getting information of how our body and mind work, how we are all so different, how we aren't broken in anyway, how to feel normal and find comfort in your experiences. This book makes you find peace of mind.
At first, I was a little daunted by how big the book was, being a mostly nonfiction reader I wasn't sure how I'd make it through such a "real life facts I should remember book". Wow, was I wrong. Nagoski does an amazing job of turning hard core science into graspable knowledge. Not only do I feel accomplished for being able to complete and understand a book like this, I am able to look at my body with love and understanding.
And incredible and impowering read for anyone with a vulva.
